Employment Claims Against Charter

Soderstrom Law began investigating employment wage-and-hour, discrimination, failure to accommodate, and wrongful termination claims against Charter Communications in 2018. The investigation is ongoing. Soderstrom Law is currently representing multiple former Charter employees in court and in arbitration.

In May 2019, Soderstrom Law filed a class and representative action lawsuit against Charter in court. The lawsuit alleges that Charter misclassified certain employees as “exempt” outside salespersons during all or part of their employment, and that Charter did not comply with all legal requirements for calculating and paying commission wages. The lawsuit seeks unpaid wages, penalties, and other forms of relief on behalf of all current and former employees who worked for Charter in California at any time since November 2014 and who were classified as “exempt” outside salespersons and/or who were eligible to earn commissions. The court overseeing the lawsuit has not yet decided whether to certify a class or award any forms of relief. You can read the specific allegations and claims that employees are making against Charter in the current version of the Court Complaint and you can email us at [email protected] if you would like more information.
